What to expect from the summit?
Africa Together 2019 proposes to showcase the concrete ways in which African policymakers, business leaders, innovators and young people have responded to the call for sustainable action.
Bringing together high-profile speakers and panelists from all over the world, the conference will confront complacent assumptions about Africa’s inability to meet the welfare aspirations of its citizens by showing how partnerships, science and technology, creative and innovative solutions as well as a willingness to engage women and other underrepresented groups are being leveraged for real and measurable sustainable growth.
As part of confirmed Keynote speakers and panelists, we have:
- HE Abiy Ahmed, the Prime Minister of Ethopia;
- HE Ameenah Gurib-Fakim - Former President, Republic of Mauritius
- Dr. Donald Kaberuka, Former President of the African Development Bank;
- Benny Dembitzer - Nobel Peace Prize Winner
- Biyi Bandele - award-winning filmmaker and director of Half of a Yellow Sun
- Ambassador Nonye Rajis, Former Nigerian Ambassador to Singapore
Not enough? Well RiA CEO, Tony Tiyou will be speaking at a panel discussion too, feel free to throw your hat in the ring for next time:-)
Lunch will be provided at the conference and an African ball follows afterward. So brush off your moves please:-)
