A Tree Planting & Concrete Installation Event at Oloolua Forest, Kenya (13th June 2021)
Description
The event called “A Tree Planting and concrete benches installation event” will be at Oloolua Forest in Karen on 13th of June 2021 from 9 am to 4 pm. This event will be made possible through partnership with Oloolua Community Forest Association, Kenya Forest Service, Green Dunia Organization and support from EUNIC Kenya, Rhodes tours, Gallen kitchen, Flosky's Delicacy and Pixel Therapy.
Currently 108.53 hectares at Oloolua Forest is degraded. In this project with the Oloolua CFA we plan to restore 1 hectare or 2.5 acres by:
1. Planting indigenous trees
2. Donating concrete benches at the park next to the tree planting site
3. Involving local murals artists to paint the benches with art under the theme of environmental conservation
