Launch of GSAS 2019 Construction Management manuals & tools.
GORD is pleased to announce the release of GSAS 2019 Construction Management: Assessment & Guidelines manuals.
GSAS Construction Management (GSAS-CM) certificate is issued to buildings and infrastructure projects, which are under construction, to evaluate the sustainability impact of the project over the course of the construction phase. It assesses numerous aspects of construction processes and on-site practices undertaken by contractors, which have lasting sustainability impacts. Correspondingly, it provides a framework to perform measurements in line with normative standards and accepted best practices taking into consideration the specific ecological and environmental context of the region. GSAS-CM is used to assess single buildings, mixed-use developments, districts and infrastructure projects, irrespective of whether GSAS Design & Build certification has been pursued for these projects or not.
GSAS 2019 Construction Management has capitalized on the following:
- 10 years of experience and ‘hands-on’ implementation of GSAS certifications.
- Richness and capacity gained from the assessment of various building typologies totaling more than 217,000,000 square feet of built-up area and more than 1,872,000,000 square feet of district master-planning.
- Multi-disciplinary research projects conducted in collaboration with renowned world-class institutes on several aspects of sustainability in the built environment.
