An IPS webinar on the occasion of UN World Environment Day, World Peatlands Day

World Environment Day is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. This year the theme is Ecosystem Restoration. In addition, on  5th of June 2021 the UN Decade of Restoration will be launched.

IPS has launched its World Peatlands Day in autumn 2019, and is celebrating this important event now on 2nd of June for the second time.

Let’s see what international experts have to say on the status of peatland restoration in 10 of our member countries. Free entry.

The event is organized by the International Peatland Society (IPS), and the Institute for Atmospheric and Earth System Research of the University of Helsinki (INAR)
