Global Wind Day is a worldwide event that occurs annually on 15 June. It is a day for discovering wind energy, its power and the possibilities it holds to reshape our energy systems, decarbonise our economies and boost jobs and growth.

As the Energy Revolution kicks into high gear, wind power continues to blow away the competition on price, performance and reliability, both onshore and offshore. Wind is now successfully competing with all other sources for new-build, and is increasingly competitive with existing, heavily subsidized conventional generation on a pure market basis – and the technology continues to improve, with bigger, better and more efficient turbines. In this time of rapid change, it makes extraordinary sense to invest in a renewable energy future, and very little sense to invest in anything else.
