MEDIA ADVISORY: Register now for the Asia-Pacific Climate week 2023 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia

The first Asia-Pacific Climate Week (APCW) in person since 2019, will be held from 13 to 17 November 2023 at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, hosted by the Johor state government in collaboration with the Government of Malaysia.

 

APCW's aim is to harness the full potential of the region, involving all regional stakeholders. With over 200 sessions, the ACPW 2023 will gather representatives from local and national governments, Indigenous Peoples, civil society, private sector, and media representatives from across Asia and the Pacific to tackle pressing climate challenges, ignite ambition and forge partnership.

 

The APCW will contribute to accelerate regional collaboration and to the first global stocktake of the Paris Agreement, that will conclude at COP28 in Dubai in December.

Participation is free of charge and open to all: participants, delegates, observers and media.

 

APCW 2023 is the fourth of a series of Regional Climate Weeks and the last major event on Climate Change organized ahead of COP28 in Dubai.

 

APCW 2023 is organized by UN Climate Change, in collaboration with its global partners UNDPUNEP and the World Bank Group. Regional partners include the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the Asian Development Bank, the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies and Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei.
