UN Climate Change and the Government of Panama are honored to invite all media representatives to participate in the Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week (LACCW). The conference will be held from 23 to 27 October 2023 at the Marriott Panama Hotel (Albrook Mall) in Panama City, Panama.

About LACCW

The Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Week (LACCW) is a platform to connect all climate action stakeholders in the region and encourage their contributions to the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) and the first global stocktake of the Paris Agreement. An estimated 4,000 participants from across the region, including representatives from governments, civil society, Indigenous Peoples, local communities and the private sector, among others, are expected to gather during LACCW in Panama City.

LACCW is organized in collaboration with global partners the UN Development Programme, the UN Environment Programme and the World Bank, and regional partners the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, the CAF-Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Inter-American Development Bank and EuroClima+.

Online accreditation is the only official channel for media registration to the event. Please refer to the guide on how to apply for media accreditation available on the UN’s online registration system INDICO. All media representatives are strongly encouraged to apply for accreditation as soon as possible to avoid any unnecessary delays. UN Climate Change is not able to offer financial support or to help with visa applications. Participants are responsible for obtaining their own visas for travel to Panama.

This event will be organized in parallel with the XXIII Meeting of the Forum of Ministers of Environment of Latin America and the Caribbean (24 - 26 October 2023).

All information for the media will be posted on this page, so please bookmark it and consult it constantly: Press and media LACCW.
