Food production  in the 21st century is a major issue, as more and more people are awakened in terms of their eating habits and needs. Tons of food for the production of which even more quantities of drinking water have been used, are wasted every day, destroying the sustainable development model designed and implemented by the states. An effort to rationalize the relationship between food production and consumption leads not only to a reduction of waste but also to a reduction of the emissions of harmful gases and energy use by industries and land use.
