If you want your work to have a visible, lasting impact and you are ready to help shape the next wave of clean energy in Africa, this is your opportunity

A UK renewable energy advisory and consultancy is seeking an Energy Storage Engineer for Africa projects to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be using their engineering expertise to help bring first-of-its-kind renewable energy projects to life across Africa

Projects that not only transform power systems but also reshape economies, communities, and the future of sustainable energy on the continent.

You must be a driven and solutions-focused engineer with proven experience in battery energy storage system (BESS) sizing and a strong grasp of grid integration and transmission regulations.

You’ll provide technical assessments, grid connection feasibility reviews, and regulatory compliance checks for early-stage projects – many of which will be the first of their kind in their region.

Your days will be a blend of technical analysis, problem-solving, and collaboration with international developers, financiers, and stakeholders.

You’ll have the freedom to work in a hybrid model – balancing home-based focus work with engaging on-site visits to projects across the African continent.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree in Electrical or Power Engineering (or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with BESS sizing, performance modelling, and grid studies.
  • Understanding of transmission network codes, regulatory frameworks, and interconnection requirements
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for renewable energy innovation

If you want your work to have a visible, lasting impact, and you’re ready to help shape the next wave of clean energy in Africa, this is your opportunity.
