Twelve EU countries seek to overturn existing RFNBO green hydrogen rules
Czechia calls for ‘reassessment’ of Delegated Act, focusing on additionality clause and hourly correlation timetable
A dozen EU member states have petitioned the European Commission to water down its strict rules on green hydrogen production, Hydrogen Insight can reveal.
At a meeting of energy ministers yesterday (Monday) in Brussels under the auspices of the European Council, the Czech Republic (officially known as Czechia) presented a document calling for a reassessment of the Delegated Act (DA) on renewable fuels of non-biodegradable origin (RFNBOs) to ensure it is "fit for purpose", a source farmiliar with the matter tells Hydrogen Insight, asking not to be named.
