While the concept has existed for decades, recent innovations are giving Back Contact (BC) technology a moment in the sun worth noticing.

BC technology has become quite the industrial engine of PV efficiency, cost-competitiveness and long-term reliability, and a recent webinar explains just how efficient and competitive it is.

LONGi’s Hybrid Passivated Back Contact (HPBC) technology represents a significant step forward in solar cell design. It has been designed to maximise light absorption on the front of the cell, and enables the electric current flow through multiple pathways, reducing the performance penalty under partial shading.
