Private PPAs can address both energy security and potential outage challenges
In this exclusive interview Hein Reyneke, General Manager – Mainstream Renewable Power, explains why they are taking part in the C&I Energy+Storage Summit Johannesburg.
In South Africa’s C&I landscape, energy-intensive industries face increasing pressures from rising costs and the push toward sustainability.
Mainstream Renewable Power has thusfar installed 1GW of renewable energy around South Africa, 150MW of which will be used for wheeling to private companies.
They are eager to show of the kinds of products they have been creating for the local C&I sector, especially their innovations around shorter-term, more flexible Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), says Reyneke.
The Mainstream Renewable Power team will be at the C&I Energy+Storage Summit from 4-5 November at the Maslow Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg.
